“Our soldiers are dying” – by Abayomi animashaun

– MISSION STATEMENT OF THE NIGERIAN ARMY –

To win all land battles in defense of the territorial integrity of Nigeria, protect her national interests, and accomplish other tasks in aid of civil authority.

SO I ASK…

WHO IS KILLING OUR SOLDIERS? BOKO HARAM OR THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT?

HOW MANY MORE SOLDIERS ARE WE GOING TO KILL? HOW MANY WOMEN WILL BECOME WIDOWS? HOW MANY MORE CHILDREN WILL BECOME FATHERLESS? HOW MUCH MORE DO OUR LEADERS NEED TO STOP LOOTING?

IF YOU WERE A NIGERIAN SOLDIER WILL YOU DIE FOR A COUNTRY THAT HAS NO PLAN FOR YOU? JONATHAN’S GOVERNMENT CLAIM TO HAVE SPENT IN NAIRA THIS YEAR ALONE ON DEFENSE 1,148,127,000,000 TRILLION NAIRA FOR 2014 ON DEFENSE ALONE. LETS RUB MINDS.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has accused President Goodluck Jonathan of squandering $25billion crude oil savings his administration left behind. According to Obasanjo, who disclosed this on Monday in Abeokuta, his administration left over $40billion in Nigeria’s foreign reserve account after paying the outstanding debt at the time and the late Yar’adua also raised the reserves to $60billion.

“But today, that reserve has been depleted. The reserve we left when we finished paying all our debts, our debts that was about 40billion dollars.that is including debt forgiveness, the remaining debt was not more than $3billion.
Our reserve after we had paid off this debt was about $45billion. As I said, they continued till the end of 2007, I heard that the reserve increased to almost $67billion before the end of the year.

Our reserve now, learnt is left with around LESS THAN $30billion.

OBJ SAID That is why the Naira has been falling against the dollar. What would now happen, I learnt if you want to buy a dollar now, it’s about N192 or N195. What it means is this, what you have been buying at N150 to a dollar, now you need N192 or N195 to buy it. That is the real situation. Is there any remedy? There is, but it does not come overnight because it means we have to give up all the bad things we have been doing.”

ONCE AGAIN I HAD TO WRITE IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSINESS YEAR. I WRITE BECAUSE THE RATE OF CORRUPTION HAS AFFECTED MY INDUSTRY NEGATIVELY. FUNDS ARE NOT IN CIRCULATION FOR THE AVERAGE NIGERIAN.

WELL BEFORE I GO ON I MUST COMMEND A VERY MATURE MOVE BY GOVERNOR AND ELDER AMAECHI SENDING CONDOLENCE MESSAGES TO PRESEIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN. WE ALL SEND OUR CONDOLENCES & KNOW ITS HARD LOSING A FAMILY MEMBER.

BUT THE TRUTH NEEDS TO BE SAID.

THE APPROVAL OF N968.127 billion NAIRA WHICH WAS 20% OF THE TOTAL BUDGET OF 2014 WAS FOR DEFENSE ONLY & BEFORE THE END OF 2014 HE REQUESTED ANOTHER $1 BILLION NAIRA(ABOUT 180 BILLION NAIRA NOW),PLEASE ADD THAT UP.
THAT AMOUNTS TO – 1,148,127,000,000 TRILLION NAIRA FOR 2014.
OUR SOLDIERS DIE EVERY DAY. BOKO HARAM SHOULDN’T BE STRONGER THAN A NATION LIKE OURS. WE WERE ONCE LENDING ASSISTANCE AND MILITARY INTELLIGENCE TO NATIONS & NOW? HAVE WE FAILED OURSELVES OR WE WRONGED GOD? IS IT WRONG TO GROW AND ACCEPT CHANGE OR WHY DO WE HAVE TO KEEP FOOLING OURSELVES ABOUT RELIGION AND TRIBAL DIFFERENCES WHEN WE ALL SUFFER TOGETHER?

THERE IS A IBO MAN IN LAGOS AND THERE IS A YORUBA MAN IN ONISTHA. LIKEWISE WE HAVE A IGBO MAN IN KANO AND AN HAUSA MAN ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY. WHERE HAS OVER 1.2 TRILLION NAIRA GONE THIS YEAR? WHAT WAS IT SPENT ON? WHO BENEFITED AND WHY DO WE STILL NEED SO MUCH MORE?
HOW CAN WE PUT IN SO MUCH FOR A CAUSE AND YET HAVE 300 GIRLS MISSING AND SOME HAVE NO HEART THAN TO KEEP EMBEZZLING?
The United States sent surveillance drones and about 30
intelligence and security experts to help the Nigerian military try to rescue the teenage girls. Gen. David M. Rodriguez, the top general for American missions in Africa, rushed
from his headquarters here to help the commanders in the crisis. Seven months later, the drone flights have dwindled, many of the advisers have gone home and not one of the
kidnapped girls has been found.

Johnnie Carson, the State Department’s former top diplomat for Africa, said in an Interview. “There is a high degree of frustration on both sides. But this frustration should not be allowed to spin out of control.” Here in Stuttgart, officials at the
headquarters of United States Africa Command offered their own bleak assessment of a corruption-plagued, poorly equipped Nigerian military that is “in tatters” as it confronts an enemy that now controls about 20 percent of the country.

“Ounce for ounce, Boko Haram is equal to if not better than the Nigerian military,” said one American official here, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss operational
reports. Cameroon’s army has been trying to dislodge the fighters from its Far North region with the help of air strikes.

ON THE 4TH OF JANUARY,2015 Boko Haram seizes Nigerian army base.
JUST YESTERDAY!

It is the gravest threat to Nigeria, Africa’s biggest economy.
LETS FOCUS ON SOLUTIONS. CAN WE EQUIP OUR MILITARY FORCE AND DESTROY BOKO HARAM? DO WE HAVE TO WHEN? HOW? WHERE DO WE START FROM? ALL EMBEZZLED FUNDS NEED TO BE RETURNED.
HOW CAN BOKO HARAM PREVAILS?

IN August 2003 WE committed Nigerian troops once again into Liberia, at the urging of the United States, to provide an interim presence until the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) arrived. Charles Taylor was subsequently eased out of power and exiled to Nigeria.

In October 2004, Nigerian troops again deployed into Darfur, Sudan to spearhead an African Union force to stop the genocide in Darfur. Nigeria has contributed more than 20,000 troops/police to various UN missions since 1960. The Nigeria Police Force and troops have served in places like UNIPOM (UN India-Pakistan Observer mission) 1965, UNIFIL in Lebanon 1978, the UN observer mission, UNIIMOG supervising the Iran-Iraq ceasefire in 1988, former Yugoslavia 1998, East Timor 1999, and in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUC) 2004.

AND OUR SOLDIERS ARE DYING & THEY DIE FOR NOTHING. ALL WE DO IS BLAME OUR SOLDIERS AND NO ONE HAS WONDERED WHY BOKO HARAM HAVE SO MUCH CONFIDENCE IN TAKING ON NIGERIAN SOLDIERS. THEY KNOW OUR SOLDIERS ARE NOT PROTECTED AND FUNDED. IF THE SOLDIERS HAVE REAL GEARS AND UP-TO-DATE AMMUNITION BOKO HARAM WILL NOT CHOOSE NIGERIA HAS TARGET. OUR LEADERS ARE WEAK AND ITS NOW EVIDENT.

OUR FOOT SOLDIERS HAVE FAMILIES. THEY ARE NOT SUPER-HUMANS. THEY DESERVE THE BEST GEAR IN THE WOLD AGAINST THESE TERRORISTS. THEY TOO NEED TO BE PROTECTED BY THE FUNDS MADE AVAILABLE! OUR MILITARY ARM HAS BEEN CORRUPTED AND EVEN THE AMERICAN SOLDIERS SENT HERE LEFT WITH NO SOLUTION.

JONATHAN & OKONJO IWEALA GOT AN APPROVAL OF N968.127 BILLION FOR DEFENSE IN THE 2014 BUDGET(20%) OF THE 2014 BUDGET.

BEFORE THE YEAR 2014 ENDED OUR PRESIDENT REQUESTED ANOTHER $1 BILLION (IN NAIRA NOW 180 BILLION OR MORE). JONATHAN NEEDS NEW SETS OF FRIENDS. HIS ADVISERS ARE NOT DOING THEIR JOBS AND OKONJO IWEALA IS A GREEN SNAKE UNDER GREEN GRASS! SHE IS ALWAYS ON THE FORE-FRONT WHEN IT COMES TO MONEY. SHE IS ALWAYS DEFENDING HUMONGOUS AMOUNTS,WHY?
AN ORGANIZATION HAS TAKEN HER TO COURT BECAUSE SHE IS HIDING THE SALARY FIGURES OF PUBLIC OFFICE HOLDERS. EVER WONDERED WHY SOMEONE SO EAGER TO READ THE BUDGET WON’T RELEASE THESE INFORMATION? THIS IS BECAUSE WE WILL BE ABLE TO ADD UP HER FIGURES.

SOME HEARTLESS LEADERS WE MUST NOTICE. AND ITS ALL BECAUSE JONATHAN IS WEAK. AND THIS IS SIMPLY ONE OF THE REASONS HE CAN’T BE GIVEN THE CHANCE FOR ANOTHER 4 YEARS. I VOTED FOR HIM IN THE LAST ELECTION. NO SENTIMENTS, HE CAN’T HANDLE NIGERIA. HE GOT HERE BASED ON PITY,NOT MERIT. HE WAS ALWAYS DEPUTY & WE SAW A GOOD GUY WITH NO SHOES. WE WANT A FIRM LEADER WITH MILITARY EXPERIENCE. AS BAD AS IT MAY SOUND BUHARI IS MORE POPULAR THAN GOODLUCK JONATHAN NOW.
PUSH SENTIMENTS AWAY.

LET SOMEONE ELSE TO TRY,PERIOD! GOD BLESS NIGERIA. FORGET YOUR RELIGION….PUT NIGERIA FIRST. FIGHT CORRUPTION, WE DIDN’T EMBEZZLE MONEY SO LET THE CORRUPT BE SCARED NOT YOU A COMMON NIGERIAN THAT SHOULD BE MOST HAPPY THAT CORRUPTION IS BEEN FOUGHT. LET ALL TAKE THEIR TURNS AND THEN MOVE ON!

SINCERELY ITS NOT LOOKING GOOD FOR PDP & JONATHAN.

OBJ & IBB & ARE NOT PDP SUPPORTER. THEY LOST ATIKU & KWAKWANSO. AND FINALLY RELIGIOUS LEADERS ARE WHO ONCE BLESSED HIM HAVE PUBLICLY SAID HE HAS TO GO. I AM HOPING THIS IS NOT A RACE AGAINST GOD. WE MUST NOT KEEP QUIET TILL WE GET RESULTS.
THIS IS MY LITTLE CONTRIBUTION AS MY VOTE.

200 MILLION NIGERIANS SOMEONE ELSE DESERVES TO TRY. WE ALL DESERVE CHANGE.
